Hi, my name is Debbie Vickers, second mom of Evan Vickers. It has been ten years since we lost our beloved son, Evan Reginald Vickers at the age of 20. (January 2, 2004) We have many wonderful memories of Evan that we will always cherish. Evan was truly a wonderful, brilliant, loving young man who was known for his generous, giving heart, winsome smile and awesome hugs. One of Gods greatest miracles is to enable ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Though Evan was far from ordinary, he was able to provide the precious "Gift of Life" to four families through organ donation. We feel that our son, Evan lives on today in this extraordinary way and we thank God each and every day that we were able to be a part of this wonderful young man’s life. We miss him so much, each and every day because he was and still is "Our Angel Under The Sun."
No farewell words were spoken. No time to say goodbye. You were gone before we knew it. Only God knows why. Our beloved son, Evan died from injuries sustained in a single car accident on New Year’s Eve. He was and still is “Our Angel Who Walked Under the Sun.”The Cross and Butterflies symbolize his love of Jesus and his Christian rebirth and new life in Heaven. Evan loved fishing trips with his Dad. Evan's love of life and especially his awesome hugs are missed by all who loved him.
